The sad truth is that most of the people who need us most (from a psychotherapeutic perspective) cannot afford us. We are hoping that some generous people might be willing to fund a patient for six months or a year, to get a good start on the therapy they need to be a functional member of society again. The cost would fund a 1-hour weekly session, at the rate of $125.00 per session There is not much point in doing it for less than six months, as at least that much time is needed to help the person get past the most basic post-traumatic road blocks. The Medical Plan in B.C. will not pay for psychotherapy unless provided by a psychiatrist—and it very difficult to find one who is interested in this work.

A psychiatrist to work 1-1/2 days per week at LabyrinthVictoria Centre for Dissociation. He or she must be knowledgeable about or interested in becoming knowledgeable about, dissociative and other trauma-spectrum disorders.
